Advert Submission

  • I’m a private seller, how do I do it?

    Its a simple 1-2-3 process

    Firstly
    Registration – if you’re new to the B&CB Classified site you’ll need to register first
    Go to our busandcoachbuyer.com/register page, fill out your details and register your account

    Secondly
    Ad details – you’ll be asked to select your vehicle category (bus, coach or minibus), complete the information required for your ad and upload any photos

    Thirdly
    Payment – All adverts can be Prepaid using all major credit cards. Please call Bus & Coach Buyer on 01733 362300 or email bcbsales@busandcoachbuyer.com to request a call back

    All prices quoted are plus VAT & based on a run of 6 insertions

    All cancellations Mondays prior to publication date before 5pm

    Please upload ORIGINAL photos

    If you’ve advertised with us before online and in print, log in as normal by going to the busandcoachbuyer.com/login page. Your previous adverts will be listed on your account Dashboard and you can manage all your past and present adverts accordingly:

    Advertise another vehicle, update a vehicle as sold or re-list a previous advert as necessary
    Advertising new or re-listing will require a validating advert in the print edition

  • How long do adverts last?

    All adverts run for up to 6 weeks, after which they can be re-listed or updated as sold as necessary

    All cancellations Mondays prior to publication date before 5pm

  • When will my advert appear?

    As soon as the advert and your Pre-payment has been authorised by the Bus & Coach Buyer team, normally within an hour

    Your ad will be Awaiting approval

    However, because this is a manual process it could make it a little longer, the team are available Monday to Friday, 9-5pm

  • Standard adverts or Featured Listings adverts?

    B&CB classified system features two levels of advert:

    Standard adverts and Featured Listings adverts

    Featured Listings adverts are placed at the top of the listings in a carousel and highlighted with a different colour and striking banner to get noticed, whereas a standard advert will appear depending on when it was listed or found by using the search filter

    If you have submitted a standard advert and cannot find it, but it is showing as live in your Dashboard, then it will be on the site but could be quite a few pages back, especially in a busy category containing lots of Featured Listings or Dealer adverts

    You will note that a filter option is also located within a grey bar at the right of each category. This re-orders the list. Standard adverts continue to appear below Featured Listings regardless of the search option chosen

    If you find that your standard advert is lower in the search results than you would like, you can choose to upgrade to a Featured Listings advert at any time for an extra payment. This will raise your advert on the results page. Please call Bus & Coach Buyer on 01733 362300

Advertiser Login & Registration

  • The system is telling me my email is already registered. Why?

    If you have already registered with Bus & Coach Buyer previously to view our Latest Magazine Online, you will already have an account with us. The same account can be used to submit adverts to our classifieds system.

    Simply use this account, login and update your profile accordingly to start advertising.

    Potential buyers may use the ‘Contact Seller’ form to send an email to the registered seller. The vehicle location may also be taken from the profile address.

Advert Payments

  • How much does an advert cost?

    Our advertising costs are as follows:-

    Advertise in the PRINT edition and ONLINE for £45 per week.

    All adverts must be Prepaid, all major credit cards accepted.

    All prices quoted are plus VAT & based on a run of 6 insertions.

    Please upload ORIGINAL photos.

    All cancellations on both PRINT and ONLINE ads must be done on Mondays prior to publication date before 5pm. Do not cancel your ONLINE ad without cancelling your print ad with us first, you may still be charged.

  • How much does a print campaign cost?

    A print campaign costs;

What do I get when I place an advert on busandcoachbuyer.com?

  • Advertising a Bus, Coach or Minibus to a larger market

    When advertising a Bus, Coach or Minibus you will be able to add up to eight photos for a gallery and write an unlimited amount of text for a detailed description. The advert information fields need to be added to give your ad a unique look and to make sure your advert is searchable and found by potential buyers

    busandcoachbuyer.com is seen by an average of 7500 potential buyers in the UK and Abroad every week, making sure it is the best value place to advertise your vehicle

    A ‘Featured Listing‘ advert always appears before the standard adverts in the search listings, regardless of how the user filters the search. Managing Adverts

  • How do I edit my advert or images?

    To edit your advert please login and visit your account home page, called the Dashboard
    busandcoachbuyer.com/dashboard/

    Once there, click the pencil icon and you will find all the pages and tools you need to amend your advert once live

    To edit your photographs, do just the same, log into your account, click the pencil icon and remove or upload new images as required

  • Where is my advert?

    Please check which category you’ve put your advert into

    To check which category your advert is in, go to your account Dashboard, preview the advert and check the path name at the top – ‘You are here: Home/Ads/Buses

    If you think your advert is in the wrong section, please get in touch and we will move it across for you as it is not something you can do yourself

  • What changes can I make once the advert is live?

    Most things can still be changed on a live advert, including the price, description and new pictures, but please note that it is not possible to change the advert category, you will have to speak to us about this

    The advert will still have to go through the usual vetting process to get the final approval before being LIVE on the web server

  • How do I relist my advert?

    To relist your advert, you must first wait for it to expire

    At this time you will be offered the option to resubmit by email reminder and access again through the advert dashboard after which they can be re-listed or updated as sold as necessary – we can do this for you if required

Troubleshooting

  • Email bouncing

    Occasionally, e-mails sent by busandcoachbuyer.com may be rejected by your e-mail provider

    Normally this occurs when the spam filter blocks them from entering your inbox, so please ensure you change your settings to allow e-mails from @busandcoachbuyer.com

    E-mails may also bounce because the inbox is full so it’s worth checking as this may be the cause of your problem

    Please ensure there are no problems with your e-mail before reactivating your advert, as this may also stop replies from potential buyers reaching you

  • Problems when submitting your advert

    When inputting your advert details, you may get an error when you press continue between

    Step 1 – Submit your ad

    and

    Step 2 – Review Your Listing

    This is because a field in your advert details has not been completed, please make sure the form is fully completed. Try putting in bullet points for the description if this field is lacking the required number of characters.

  • Problems adding images

    The file size limit for our photographs is up to 500K per image

    If you find it difficult to take images that are the correct size, try selecting a lower resolution or image size. If possible, optimise for a 72dpi Jpeg email attachment, using the settings on your camera or while exporting from your phone

    Your photos may be too large in dimensions, please save them as a ‘Medium-quality JPG’
    Medium: 640 x 480 pixels

    If you experience problems with your browser, try using another browser such as Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome. Alternatively, you can try updating your current browser

    Other options

    If you don’t want to resize your images, the other option is to send them to us and we will happily downsample them for you and return them system-ready. If your images need any colour or brightness changes, then please speak to us too
